This website contains a series of hands-on problem-based active learning nanotechnology modules that were developed to be incorporated within undergraduate civil and environmental engineering courses. These activities have been developed using a pedagogical approach called Environments for Fostering Effective Critical Thinking (EFFECTs). This approach uses student-centered learning strategies to promote deep learning, enhance conceptual understanding, and stimulate growth in critical thinking skills.
