AMSER (Applied Math and Science Education Repository) is a portal of educational resources and services built specifically for those in community and technical colleges, but free for anyone to use. AMSER is funded by the National Science Foundation (NSF) as part of the National Science Digital Library, and is being created by a team of project partners led by Internet Scout.

The content of the site is divided into four areas: how micros are used, microcontroller architecture, microcontroller memory, input/output interfaces. There is a quiz for each in the Knowledge Probe area, and the Learning Resources section contains three activities to help cement student understanding. There are also further resources - both print and Web based - for more information and two Questors, a Flash trivia game. The Notebook function allows visitors to take notes and review them at any time. This is an excellent resource students and educators in electronics technician programs.

First-time visitors to the site may wish to use the "Information Search" area on the right-hand side of the page. Here they will be directed to answer questions such as "What are you looking for?" (i.e. "organizations" and "tools/guidance") that will help focus in on the most germane resources. Moving on, the "Community" area at the center of the homepage provides information about a recent climate resource added to the site, along with a "Quick Links" area. The module reviews basic concepts and methods and provides an overview of the rationale, need, and terminology. It also covers the fundamentals of DAC, introduces the newest methods, describes the critical specifications, and introduces typical integrated circuits (ICs) and applications. In addition to these course materials, there are two "Knowledge Probes" which provide an opportunity for students to master the objectives of the module. PROPHET is a partial differential equation (PDE) solver that offers users the flexibility of integrating new models and equations for their nano-device simulations. The first lecture covers the basics of PROPHET, including the set-up of simulation structures and parameters based on pre-defined PDE systems. The second lecture uses examples to illustrate how to build user-defined PDE systems in PROPHET.
